This linocut stamp carving was inspired by the Silver-Throated Tanager found in Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia, Equador, and the Northeastern part of Peru. In reality, it's bright lemon yellow with black, gray, and chartreuse stripes and speckles with a stark white chest.
Each print pictured is made by hand and I experimented with a lot of different methods and ink application (and had a whole bunch of fun doing it, too!) Every print will vary slightly and please have a close look through to see all the different styles to select which one speaks to you.
Please see photos to see all the styles offered:
- Simple single color prints on white printmaking acid free paper
- Blend of two or more ink colors made in a single press or done in separate layers
- Single or blend of multiple ink colors printed on top of painted printmaking paper. Some of these have a pearlescent sheen with pearl and/or gold acrylic ink (see video in the last of the photos)
